Joanne Howells MSc BSc(Hons.) MCSP, MHCPC, MMACP – Senior Physiotherapist
I qualified from the University of Brighton in 1993 and have worked extensively in both the NHS and private sectors. In 2006 I completed an MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire. As part of this course I also completed clinical placements to gain membership to the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). This organisation recognises the specialist standard of care in examination, treatment and management for people with musculoskeletal conditions. I have also completed post graduate training in other specialist areas such as hypermobility, pre and post-natal low back and pelvic pain, paediatric musculoskeletal conditions, orthopaedic rehabilitation and chronic pain management. I have recently completed a foundation course for the use of Acupuncture in the management of musculoskeletal conditions which complements the use of manual therapy and exercise as part of rehabilitation.
